Cognizant of the way different musical elements are used to stimulate the human mind and body, recording artiste/producer Cleva Criss is on a mission to change lives with his music.
“I became an artiste because I have long admired the way that musicians and artistes use their talent to create music that stimulates the people’s emotions. Music is a very powerful force, and I believe it should be used positively to stimulate people,” said the artiste.
He added, “I can’t tell other artistes how to make their music, but I am committed to making music that is entertaining and uplifting. I make music that promotes self-awareness and good values because there’s a need for the restoration of morals and discipline in our society. We have enough songs about chapping, guns and sex. It’s time to vibrate at a higher level.”
The Trelawny-born deejay is currently promoting a thought-provoking single titled Memories. The song, which was produced by him, was released on February 28 on his Clevamix Recordz imprint.
“This song carries a positive message that everyone can relate to; we all experience moments of deep reflection on this journey called life. This kind of deep reflection, practiced in the right way, promotes self-awareness and growth in human beings.”
Cleva Criss is also working on several new projects for himself and other artistes, including Grampa Entatain.
“As you can imagine, owning and operating a recording studio keeps me busy. I’m always making music for other artistes or myself. I am currently working on an album with Grampa Entatain for TADS Records. I’m also working on some new singles for myself that I plan to release throughout the year.”
Cleva Criss given name Christopher Gallimore, hails from Duncans, Trelawny. He made his recording debut in 2017 when he was featured on a song titled This Journey which was recorded by Caution X, who now goes by the stage name Kaxxtion X.
